Very nice place to visit lovely cave's will be visiting soon when sun is shining. I would not recommend pushchair dog friendly.. Car park in village and 20 - 30 minutes footpath to Quarry.
Accessible but not advisable. Great area for walks though and particularly great for clear sky sunrises.
Such beautiful scenery!! Sad I can't find many of my pictures!
There are soo many caves and old quarry mine shafts to explore..... even a quick dip if you fancy it.
There is a slight bit of a walk down to the quarry especially the way I know 😂🫣 make sure you are well equipped with some water and some snacks! 🍶🥨
Dog friendly so can always take the fur babies as well 🐾
What a cool place. From the carpark you must stop at the pub and sample some of their home pressed cider and pasties 😋. Its about a mile to the quarry down hill and step in places, but worth it once there. The walk back drags on a bit. 😉
Interesting place to explore. Google maps I’ll direct you to a private road you can’t drive down, you will need to park in the village carpark and walk down - on a hot day make sure you have plenty of water! Views are spectacular and there’s a small area where people were swimming in the sea.
Absolutely brilliant place to explore. Loads of caves and old buildings, feels pretty remote and fascinating to go around. Awe inspiring and I would recommend for anyone that it is a must do if visiting that part of the country.
Fantastic morning exploring the old quarry. Wouldn't recommend taking small children. 20 minute walk from Worth Matravers car park, only a £2 donation.
A truly magical place at anytime.
Being the second day in which waders and a canoe were not appropriate attire and transport I went for a mooch.
I adore this place and it was surprisingly busy but the great thing is the vast majority of visitors are folk who enjoy the countryside rather than wish to turn it into fast food laden rubbish tips.
A good walk not for those with medical conditions which prohibit a raise heart rate and a 1 1/4 mile incline for the entire journey back.
Accessible but not advisable. Great area for walks though and particularly great for clear sky sunrises.
